You need to slow down and take a vacation, even if it only lasts a weekend. You need to give yourself the opportunity to rest for a little while, otherwise you’re going to burn yourself out.
You need a pep talk. You have what it makes to succeed, but you keep doubting yourself. You need to read inspirational books or watch motivational videos to remind yourself you are worthy of what you want.
You need to surround yourself with people who support you. Stop listening to the people who doubt you. Stop giving them the time of day. Find people who are in your corner, who cheer you on instead of giving you reasons to quit.
You need some space. You need to distance yourself from your loved ones for a little while because they’re too distracting. You’re always worrying about their needs and ignoring your own. And that needs to change.
You need a new schedule. You need to rearrange your day so you’re able to fit everything you want to do into your planner. With a little bit of brainstorming, you should be able to find a way to make it work.
You need to put less on your plate. You need to reduce the amount of responsibilities you take on. Give yourself some room to breathe. This way, you won’t be rushing around and will able to stop multitasking and start focusing on what matters the most.
You need a break from technology. You’re checking your phone too often, so you should put a time limit on your social media accounts – or completely delete them from your device. Get used to focusing on a task for a long period of time without checking your phone.
You need more breaks. Stop forcing yourself to work ten straight hours without stopping in between. Give yourself a chance to eat a snack or watch a video or call a friend. Don’t get so obsessed with work that you let the whole day pass without resting.
You need to practice self-care. Pamper yourself. Reward yourself. Stop rushing from achievement to achievement without stopping to celebrate. Every once in a while, you need to look at how far you’ve come and give yourself a pat on the back.
You need sleep. You might feel like being awake more hours will give you more time to be productive – but really, your exhaustion is going to impact your mind. You won’t be able to concentrate fully unless you’re well rested. You need to set aside some time to relax.
You need to reprioritize. Ask yourself what matters the most to you and what goals you wish you were closer to meeting. Figure out what changes you need to make in your life and then start implementing them. Don’t put this off for any longer.
You need to act more selfish. Worry about your feelings before going out of your way to help someone else deal with their feelings. It’s not rude to put yourself first sometimes. In fact, it’s necessary if you want to be more productive.
